School’s Out, Sanity’s Slipping…
Summer holidays survival, a pause on paid subs and a podcast line-up worth tuning in for
It’s week one of the school holidays and I’m already sinking! But I have a couple of pieces of important news to share as we head into summer, navigating the choppy seas of self employment and motherhood whilst desperately clinging onto the life raft..
First and foremost -I’m hitting pause on paid subscriptions for the duration of the summer. So if you’re a paying subscriber, there’ll be no charge until September.
I’ll still be popping into your inbox with little extras here and there - just without the pressure of “producing” in the background. Your support means the world and this little break just gives me space to handle being a slave, sorry a mum, for 6 weeks and not get too stressed out because we ALL know that ain’t nothing getting done with the mini me’s around…
Secondly - I have been ultra organised and recorded 3 fabulous podcast episodes with 3 fabulous women which will be going out fortnightly over the summer! They are all small business owners who I handpicked as guests for you because I know they have something wonderful to offer which will help and inspire you as fellow female entrepreneurs.

So here’s the podcast line up and summer schedule:
Wednesday 6th August - Rachel Hart-Phillips: founder of
LoveLossDiscoballs, a beautiful brand of vibrant greeting cards that was born from heartbreak but has become a place of comfort, creativity and community for so many. You won’t ever forget her story, trust me.
Wednesday 20th August - Alison Boucher: founder of Boucher Accountants. Alison is the funniest, loveliest accountant I’ve ever met and we’re talking all things money to help you navigate the financial side of being self employed. And you don’t wanna miss my Quick Fire question round ‘What Can I Claim For?’….(poor Alison)
Wednesday 3rd September - Anna Short: founder of Boo Marketing. Anna is another of Small Business Britain’s ‘Top 100 Female Entrepreneur 2025’ and is my kind of woman as she is talking all about how to keep marketing simple for us creatives because, let’s face it, we shy away from this side of things when it comes to running our business. She has some nuggets of GOLD to share which will will really reduce the stress you might be feeling when it comes to marketing your business. Plus, she lives just a short car ride away from me and it’s quite possibly THE most Northern episode to date.
So keep an eye out for these episodes dropping into your inbox, as well as news, tips and advice from me whenever I can!
Have a brilliant summer!
